Altamont out n’ Back

This course is normally characterized by a brutal headwind on the way back. It is very rare to find light winds on this stretch of road (it isn’t full of windmills for nothing) but that is what there was today. A slight headwind on the way to the turn (also unusual) was the only real wind and the weather was cool but sunny. I felt crap yesterday but I felt even worse today. It was like I had absolutely no power in my legs but the warmer weather encouraged me to push a little harder. I ended up feeling generally fatigued like I had just ridden a century. I reckon this bug is taking some getting rid of. I was pleasantly surprised at my time but it just shows how far I am off my pace at this time last year.
