Corral Hollow – Altamont Loop

Met up with one of the ladies team and my wife for one of my favorite 40+ mile loops on the Bacchetta.  I actually felt very sluggish for the first ten or so miles but picked up a bit on the corral hollow climb. The section past Carnegie was ridiculously fast and I ran out of gears being blown along by a stonking tail wind.  The section through Tracy was insane for traffic and the worst I have ever experienced (church service just finished). We were treated to views of the Patterson Pass road race for the remainder of the ride. which was fun, but the headwind on the Altamont wasn’t.   Absolutely brutal headwind today. A nice Starbucks at the end made it all worthwhile though.
