Chilling on the Levee: Masi Monster Cross

I dropped the tire pressures on the Masi commute bike to 50 PSI and went for a chill out ride on the Alviso Slough Loop this lunchtime.

The weather was just about perfect but the trail repairs were still a bit rough even running at 50 psi. The photo below shows just how rough the trail has become. We  need a few days of heavy rain to fix things up.

The lack of wind made the view a bit hazy but it really was a welcome change for what is normally a wind tunnel.  Moffat field is way in the distance.

There was almost no people out on the trail today but there were plenty of Pelicans hiding out on the closed trails. They all flew off when I tried to photograph them.

The last part of the trail is much smoother .

For some strange reason there were lots of Vultures about today bullying the White and Black Herons. I don’t normally get to take in the view of the wildlife when riding the Alviso Loop so today was a welcome change. Today’s ride was good for recharging the batteries.
