September 2012 Summary

September has been a really bad month for cycling. I lost 8 days through business travel then brought back a  cold that lasted another two weeks. The result of this is that my monthly miles are about a third of what they normally are. It is interesting to note that 69% of my riding was on CX bikes this month.

I did manage to achieve a personal goal In September so it was not all doom and gloom. On the last weekend of the month I thought I was over my cold so I attempted to beat the hour for the Mount Diablo Hill Climb. It was a very hot day and I was coughing and spluttering like and old tramp but I did 59m29s.  Unfortunately the effort brought back my cold and as such I am still fighting the lung rot into October.

The Racing season is pretty much over although I do plan to do the Diablo Challenge and some Low Key hill climbs.
